#ThrowbackThursday
Let's take another trip down Memory Lane......
Today on our Facebook and Twitter pages we have another look down memory lane. Deep in the Hoppers archives we have come across two things...The first is this newspaper cut out from the 'Boston Guardian' from 21st August, 1936 back when the shop was located in Strait Bargate.
Newspaper adverts aren't anything new but it is great to find such an old advert from our past. This front page advert located on the right hand side, advertised our lustrous gold wedding rings and for a limited time each wedding ring purchased came with a free 'useful' present! With a bit more digging in the Hoppers vault I've found that very gift!
Each wedding ring purchase came with one of these Sterling Silver lucky horseshoes complete with a Hoppers Jewellers inscription on the reverse. The horseshoe was popped safely away in a white leather Hoppers purse. Approximately 20 years ago we reissued these horseshoes once again for a limited time by making a wax cast from the original horseshoe. Do you have a Hoppers lucky horseshoe? Hopefully it has brought you lots of luck!
